A couple weeks ago, we joined some friends on a trip to Marmara Beach on the Southwest coast of Crete. After an hour and a half car ride through the beautiful Lefka Ori (White Mountains), we arrived in the town of Sfakia. From Sfakia, it was a short 20 minute boat ride to Marmara Beach. Like others in the area, this beautiful and secluded beach can only be reached by boat (or on foot, of course, if you want to hike in from some of the nearby towns). We had a great time snorkeling around the area and through the caves and saw quite a few fish, while also enjoying jumping off the rocks into the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. Enjoy the video!
